About Society
Seven visionary teachers and three benevolent patrons established the KLE Society in 1916 with a single minded and resolute commitment to facilitating “Empowerment through education”. The first 100 years of the organization have been a transformational journey that has seen the organization evolve from a single school into a mammoth commitment comprising over 310 + institutions engaged in providing services in “Education, Healthcare, Research and Agriculture”. Living up to the expectations of over 138000 students and the Healthcare requirements of people across India, especially the rural poor, the committed team of over 18000 members of the KLE family is all set to scale new heights of domain excellence in the new century.
Setting benchmarks, embracing the evolving needs of society, incorporating technological tools in an attempt to keep pace with global scientific advancements, the organization today has garnered global status and acceptance. The unique feature of the success story has been the ability of the organization to sustain a philosophy that is deep rooted in the welfare of the rural poor.
The evolution of KLE Society itself is a saga of synergistic effort, management and visionary leadership of stalwarts across the ages; especially the current Chairman Dr Prabhakar Kore Ex-MP who has played a pivotal role in the exponential growth and global acclaim of the organization.

Motivating and empowering the rural youth with an essence of Management and mould them into future Managers KLE Society's SSMS BBA College, ATHANI is well known for providing quality education to the rural masses since 2008. The college has extended its teaching course of Business administration. The BBA program has been started as the college's extended wings with the mission to provide quality Management Education in this rural part of Karnataka.
The first and foremost objective of this program is to achieve all round academic and personality development of Students. Our college has a bunch of highly qualified and dedicated staff, who are capable of molding and shaping the students' career. The college has a digital library with all the books, journals & magazines. We frequently conduct workshops, Seminars, Certification Courses, Placement training, Executive Interactions, Guest Lectures by inviting eminent scholars and working professionals from academic and corporate world. Our Institution supports student's active participation in organizing various events and preparing for aptitude tests, Paper presentations, seminars, group discussions & Communication skills etc. This has given us better Placement records. Our students visit various industries locally and many big industries like Pepsi, Parle, Nestle, VRL, KMF, Vega, Mother Dairy, TATA Tea estates etc. We are heading towards imparting quality education to the students and making them sustainable in the present competitive world.

A multifaceted personality, Dr. Prabhakar Kore has diverse interests and commitments in various domains that include education, health care, cooperative sector, Agriculture, politics and community building and has left an indelible mark on the State, National and International scenario through this relentless effort, commitment and contribution to transforming lives through health care and education.
He is a progressive leader whose missionary zeal and firm commitment have pioneered the march of KLE in health sciences, Agriculture, education and research. This has taken state-of-the-art health care services to the door step of the common people. He has also ensured cross-cultural integration through various academic collaborations and has become a local lore by providing urban infrastructure in the rural areas to harness local talent.
He has with his rare visionary redefined and redesigned KLE society for the 21st century and as an accomplished educationist lead the KLE society relentlessly along the path envisioned by the founding ‘Saptarishis’.
The KLE Society Lauds Dr. Prabhakar Kore for his ceaseless and spectacular chairmanship of a period of more than 40 years.
